Four persons, who were allegedly involved in the murder of an astrologer, R. Santhosh, surrendered at the court of Judicial Magistrate 6 here on Tuesday.

The four – Vijayakumar aka Viji, Madhu, Karun and Ramesh – were relatives of the 26-year-old Santhosh, who was murdered by a gang on Sunday, police said. Madhu is the wife of Vijayakumar and Karun is their son. Santhosh had quit an outfit called Inthiya Desiya Kudiurimai Katchi and joined the BJP against the wishes of the relatives, according to police. The court remanded the four in judicial custody, police said.
