Four die of fever in Coimbatore, Tirupur

Four persons died of fever in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts in the last 36 hours ending Friday.

P. Ganesan, a cable TV service provider of Ganapathypalayam in Mangalam Panchayat, reported symptoms of fever 21 days ago and was under treatment at a private hospital in Tirupur. He died Friday afternoon. Nagarajan (62) of Vellalore, and Nagamani (45), who were under treatment for fever at private hospitals, were shifted to CMCH, where they died on Thursday night. Sandhiya (4), daughter of Karthik and Devi from Dharapuram, died at the hospital. A total of 56 persons are undergoing treatment for fever at CMCH. The cause of deaths is under investigation.
