Flyover work nearing completion in Erode

Works on constructing a flyover connecting three arterial roads at GH Roundabout is nearing completion and is expected to be thrown open for public use soon.

Presence of commercial establishments, hotels, and hospitals keeps the Brough Road, Perundurai Road, Mettur Road and E.V.N. Road busy throughout the day, and frequent traffic congestions cause hardship to the road users. Hence it was decide to construct a flyover.

Works to construct the flyover at a cost of ₹58.54 crore connecting Brough Road, Perundurai Road and E.V.N. Road began in August 2017. Now, the work is nearing completion. Officials said that the works will be over in another three weeks after which the flyover will be commissioned.

Meanwhile, soil testing is under way on Mettur Road for a flyover. After the soil test, a detailed project report will be prepared and construction works will begin.
