Five of a family found dead

Five members of a family from Karumathampatti here were found dead in their house on Saturday.

They were identified as Anthony Arokiyadas (38), a teacher at Government Middle School at Koolipalayam in Tirupur, his wife Shobana (30), Ritika Michael (7), Riya Angeline, one and a half years old, and J. Bhuvaneswari (65), mother of Arokiyadas.

The police said that they found a note left behind by Arokiyadas which said that he had been suffering from back pain for about 12 years. Despite treatment, it was not cured and felt that he was causing inconvenience to everyone.

Hence, he took the extreme step along with others, said the note. While Arokiyadas was found hanging, wife and two children were found dead on bed.

His mother was found dead on the floor of a room.
