First woman Collector since 1945 assumes office

Archana Patnaik assumed office as the 44 Collector of Coimbatore on Wednesday and happens to be the first woman Collector of Coimbatore since 1945.

Talking to reporters, Ms. Archana Patnaik said that de-silting of tanks, violation of town and country planning rules, action against buildings for deviation/violation would be studied.

She said that the problems relating to Solid Waste Management at Vellalore compost yard would be studied.

She said that the Monday grievances redressal programme would continue as usual and added that public can always send e-mail or SMS to her on issues/problems.

Inputs from the public would be paramount in dealing with problems, she added.
