Coimbatore-based EssEmm Corporation that makes food machinery is looking at doubling its turnover in the next two to three years.

Sathish Kumar Nair, founder of EssEmm, told The Hindu on Tuesday that the annual turnover now was approximately ₹50 crore and the company wanted to touch ₹100 crore in two to three years.

The company, which has 16 products under its Cosmos brand, wants to increase automation in the existing range and explore possibilities for new products.

Over 85 % of its sales comes from the domestic market.

It is also exporting some products now. Mr. Nair is confident that export market has huge potential as the Indian population in other countries want equipment to manufacture Indian food. Launching the Cosmos Cookwok Prime here on Tuesday, Mr. Nair added that EssEmm had international certification for the U.S. for the new product. It is in the process of getting the required certificates for the European Union and the US markets for the Cosmos products.

EssEmm has tie-ups with original equipment manufacturers in India, Taiwan, and China and will continue to work with the existing OEMs.

In the domestic market, the cloud kitchen concept is fast picking up and it offers a huge market. “It is the future,” he said.
