DMK candidate alleges booth capture

DMK candidate for Dharmapuri Parliamentary constituency S.Senthilkumar submitted a petition to Collector S.Malarvizhi demanding re-poll at various polling booths here alleging booth capture by Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) cadre.

In his petition, Mr.Senthilkumar demanded that re-poll must be conducted at various booths in Pappireddipatty Assembly segment for both Assembly by-polls and Parliamentary polls as members of PMK indulged in booth capture in the region. Mr. Senthilkumar demanded that re-poll must be conducted in booth no. 192, 193, 194, 195 in Nathamedu, booth no. 186, 187 in Kethureddypatti panchayat, booth no. 196, 197 in Jaliyur, and booth no. 181 and 182 in Ayyampatti.

Mr. Senthilkumar demanded that action must be taken against PMK leader Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss for instigating the booth capturing. He cited The Hindu ’s report regarding the booth capture in Nathamedu in his petition.

Collector S.Malarvizhi said to presspersons that the general observer had sought documents from micro-observers in these booths for verification. Necessary action would be taken based on them.
