Differently-abled persons urged to cast their votes

A campaign that urges all the differently-abled persons in the district to cast their votes and ensure 100% voting in the Lok Sabha election was conducted here on Wednesday. District Election Officer and Collector Rohini R. Bhajibhakare inaugurated the campaign at C.S.I. Special School here.

She said that ramp facilities, an assistant to help them in casting votes and other basic facilities to ensure that they cast their vote without fail was created for the elections.

She said that the symbol of the contesting candidate is also given in Braille format that will help the visually challenged people to cast their votes.

A pledge was also taken on the occasion stressing 100% voting.

Differently-abled persons who took part in the campaign vowed to cast their votes without fail.

Rangoli, drawing, and drama competitions were also conducted by the students of the special school on the occasion. Vandana Garg, Assistant Collector (Training), K. Subramani, District Differently Abled Welfare Officer and members of the school management participated.
