A python’s feasting on a spotted deer came to an abrupt halt after a crowd of onlookers frightened it to regurgitate the animal.

On Thursday morning, the 12-feet-long python was swallowing the deer near the Morappur forest range in Harur when a few locals spotted it. As the news spread, a crowd from neighbouring villages gathered around to watch it.

As it was disturbed by the human intrusion, the python regurgitated the animal. On information, a team from the Forest Department arrived at the spot and rescued the python. According to T.Krishnan, forest range officer, Morappur, a team led by a forester was monitoring the python’s movement. Later, it was released into Karunkal forest.
