State Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) R. Muthuarasan has condemned the murder of a party cadre near Nangavelli recently.

Mr. Muthuarasan, who was here to pay tributes to Velu Thangamani, said “murders have become a day-to-day affair in the State. A party cadre has been murdered in Chief Minister’s own constituency and police have not made any progress in investigation in this connection.”

Mr. Muthuarasan alleged that despite, two of the accused surrendering in Court, police still hasn’t been able to find out the motive behind the murder.

Mr. Muthuarasan also condemned the recent statements made by Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami and Forest Minister Dindigul Srinivasan regarding series of murders and honour killings in the State.
