The civic body has issued notice to residents’ welfare associations that come under the Parn Sesh Nestle residential complex on Nanjundapuram Road.

Confirming the issuance of notice, a Corporation official said that the civic body had issued over 10 notices to the associations as they were found to have encroached upon open space reserve (OSR) sites by building ATM centre, pump rooms, playground, and other structures when they ought to have handed over the same to the civic body.

Sources familiar with the developments said there were 16 associations registered as societies starting with Parsn’s Phase I Villa Residents’ Welfare Society to Parsn’s Raintree Shire Residents’ Welfare Society and to most of those the civic body had issued notices.

In a couple of cases, a few associations had also rented out buildings constructed on the OSR sites, the sources added.

In the notice the Corporation had asked the recipient associations to either demolish the illegal constructions or reimburse the cost if it were to demolish those or respond to the notices saying why it should not demolish the constructions.
