Coimbatore Vizha was a platform for home cooks and agri entrepreneurs on Tuesday, the fourth day of its celebrations, as events were held on agri business and cookery.
Chef’s Plate, organised at the PSG College of Arts and Science, had a mystery box challenge for home cooks selected for the finals. As many as 20 home cooks had registered for the contest and they presented their dishes virtually. The finals was held for 10 of them on Tuesday.
Cherishing the heritage of the city’s agriculture, members of Coimbatore Vizha team in association with Tamil Nadu Agriculture University’s Agri Business Development Department addressed the tech business incubator platform and took the participants on a tour of various agri startups.
Further, in an effort to create awareness and eliminate cervical cancer, G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital organised a one-day free cervical cancer screening camp for women aged between 30 and 60. Kikani Global Academy (KGA) celebrated the spirit of Coimbatore with the theme, ‘Rangoli across the world’ which depicted the culture of various parts of India and the world. The students, with the guidance of their teachers, designed rangoli from vedic patterns to African tribal art.
