Car recovered

The new car worth Rs. 11 lakh that was stolen from the stock yard of a car showroom near Sowripalayam on Saturday night was recovered at Thekkalur, about 30 km from where the car was stolen, on Sunday.

The police said that a search was on for the supervisor of the showroom, Manimaran, who is suspected to have committed the theft. The Peelamedu Crime Police said that the vehicle without registration number was taken away by the suspect and abandoned near the village he hailed. A case was registered under Section 379 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code.
