In an initiative to streamline the flow of traffic near the Coimbatore Railway Junction, the City Traffic Police has placed nearly 30 barricades on the State Bank Road to ensure that buses have adequate space to halt near the bus stop.

According to the police, the barricades would prevent parking of private vehicles and autorickshaws in front of the railway station. It would help decongest the road.
