Avinashilingam Deemed University for women that remained closed for 19 days will be reopening on Monday. The management declared indefinite closure of the institution after a section of the staff and students went on strike. But, the reopening after prolonged closure has put students in a fix as the varsity announced that the second internal examinations that were discontinued due to the indefinite closure would be held on Monday. ]
Students, who did not want to be named, said faculty have not completed the syllabus for the examination.
Students said that during the second internal examinations the entire syllabus for the semester is completed. Moreover, the students vacated the hostel on November 4 and they had left behind their books and notebooks.
The students had made a representation to the University management to postpone the exams, through the student representative. But, it was in vain.
