Faculty of the beleaguered Avinashilingam University continued their protest inside the campus till late in the night on Saturday. According to sources, the faculty protested against against the management for preventing a retired faculty S. Sumathy to enter the campus. They had also condemned the management for lodging a police complaint against Ms. Sumathy. The management had accused Ms. Sumathy of inciting protest. The faculty said that to withdraw the complaint the management had laid two conditions. The conditions were suspend the protest until the UGC accepts the MoA and not involve Ms. Sumathy in the protest.
