Now the work on installing LED speed suggestion indicators are on. They will be installed with the help of sponsors. City Police Commissioner Amaresh Pujari proposed the project and it is being executed under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) T. Senthilkumar. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic Planning) M. Kaja Mohideen is supervising the trial run. The project cost Rs. 10 lakhs. The police are planning to take up synchronisation work on Tiruchi Road and later Mettuppalayam Road.
