The automated traffic signal system at Five Roads Junction in Mettupalayam
An automated traffic signal has been installed at the Five Roads Junction near the Mettupalayam bus stand.
It will help regulate the heavy traffic when the tourist season begins in Ooty.
Similarly, to curb incidents of crime and monitor the flow of vehicles, the police have fitted 17 surveillance cameras on arterial roads and the bus stand.
