The administration of Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) has urged visitors and tourists who wish to stay at its guest houses and dormitories to use ATR’s official website for online booking.

A release issued by V. Ganesan, Chief Conservator of Forests and Field Director of ATR, tourists can visit ‘www.atrpollachi.com’ for reservations to avoid fleecing by some of the private tour operators.

Of late, ATR administration received several complaints about the operation of private tour operators who maintain their own website for booking of accommodation in ATR guest houses.

They are also accused of fleecing visitors by charging exorbitantly for accommodation, van and elephant ride.

ATR had introduced online booking facility in March in order to streamline the reservation of accommodation in rest houses.

Enquiry details

For enquiry regarding reservation of accommodation in the rest houses in ATR, contact Forest Department offices at Pollachi 04259-238360 and at Topslip 04253-245002.
