Amrita University students win contest

Students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham won the final round of the engineering and Internet of Things (IoT) competition hosted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday.

The final round of Enginx 2019 contest was held at the Gitanjali Park Campus in Kolkata.

The students won the prize for creating a wearable product that reduces hand tremors, according to a press release.

Participants in this competition were asked to create smart products under the theme ‘Digital Eminence: Making Things Smart’.

Over 100,000 students from 400 institutes across the nation registered for Enginx 2019, it said. The top five teams made it to the final round.
