The much awaited Tidal park in the city would become operational by August first week, official sources said.
Senior district officials, along with Sunil Paliwal, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), had visited the site on Thursday and tentatively fixed the date of inauguration of the park on August 2, they said.
However, the normal functioning of software industries, which have already been given space, would be in the middle of October. The park would provide employment opportunities at least for 12,000 persons in the initial stage, the sources said.
