In view of the World Classical Tamil Conference, an awareness campaign to prevent pollution to atmosphere by the Eco Green Unit was launched by the City Police Commissioner, C. Sylendra Babu, recently.
He exhorted the public and the visitors to extensively use paper bags and shun the use of plastic bags.
Project Officer S. Gopu was present during the launch of the campaign.
