The agitation taken up by students and activists for revival of jallikattu by blocking the road near Corporation a few days back, continued on Sunday too.

Artistes performed Salangai Aattam at the agitation spot to highlight the message that the traditional cultural events/ sports should be protected.

Slogans raised

The agitators shouted slogans stating that they were not satisfied with any temporary ordinance but needed a move to conduct jallikattu in its true traditional fervour.

People residing at different areas across the city, too, carried out agitations at the respective localities expressing solidarity to the main agitations held near the Corporation office and near Collectorate.
