Vivek Sahai takes over as Railway Board Chairman

Railway Board Member (Traffic) Vivek Sahai took over as Chairman of the Board following the superannuation of S.S. Khurana on Monday.

Mr. Sahai will also be the ex-officio Principal Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Railways.

Before joining the board as Member (Traffic), Mr. Sahai served as General Manager, Northern Railways.

He was the Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai, Central Railways, when the metropolis came under the 26/11 terror attacks, and was credited with having handled the operations of the suburban train services competently.
