For the second year running, the Indian Panorama section of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will open with a Sanskrit film.

Feature film Ishti , directed G. Prabha, will open the section this year, just as Priyamanasam did in 2015.

The jury for feature films, headed by actor and director Rajendra Singh Babu, selected 22 films out of 230 eligible entries.

Baahubali , which won the Best Feature Film title at the National Film Awards, has been included in the Indian Panorama section.

Ima Sabitri , directed by Bobo K.H. has been chosen as the opening film by the non-feature film jury chaired by documentary filmmaker Arvind Sinha. The jury picked 21 films out of 198 eligible entries.

Amdavad Ma Famous , a film directed by Hardik Mehta, that won the Best Non-Feature Film title at the National Film Awards will also feature in the Indian Panorama section.

IFFI 2016 will be held from November 23 to 30 in Goa.
