Dear Trustees,
As longstanding readers, admirers, and friends of the Economic & Political Weekly, we warmly welcome the appointment of Paranjoy Guha Thakurta as the next Editor of EPW and compliment the Board of Trustees on making this excellent choice.
We are confident that Paranjoy will be a worthy successor to an outstanding Editor, Rammanohar Reddy, and keep the EPW flag – and the 50-year-old magazine's core secular, democratic, and progressive values – flying high.
We continue to remain concerned about the governance issues at EPW we had raised in our earlier letter to you, dated January 15, 2016, and we renew our appeal to the Board of Trustees to address these issues at the earliest.
