I have always heard that music goes well with food but at Club Czar, Ground Floor, Salcon Ras Vilas Mall, District Center, Saket, it becomes a lethal combination. The club has modern interiors; the dim purple and green lights welcome the guests to a different world of elegance and style. One of their unique features is the L shaped video wall, one of the largest in Delhi and accessible from all corners of the club.

For a change, it’s a club that has not compromised on food. The Mezze platter, a common dish nowadays, was served beautifully with hummus and baba ghanoush dips.

Then arrived melange of mushroom, a dish where three types of mushrooms are layered together with caper vinaigrette and sun dried tomato tapenade. It was a bit bland but soothing for the eyes. While enjoying my mojito, I ordered the harissa chicken skewers. The skewers were marinated in a spicy African paste and served with white onion lemon juice which balanced out the spice. Tavuk Souvlaki, a Turkish delicacy, was delicious and suited my taste buds. The chicken was roasted on charcoal so as to give it a crispy crust and a distinct aroma. The mint hummus dip served with it enhanced its taste.

Club Czar serves really good thin crust pizzas as well. The pizzas are rectangular and therefore better looking and easy to cut. I tried the Mediterranean pizza which was layered with thin strips of mozzarella and topped with olives, zucchini, bell peppers, dried tomato and thyme . The USP of the pizzas was that they were light and healthy to eat.

People looking for an Indian meal can go for the dal makhni, paneer lababdar, butter chicken and rogan josh as well. People inclined towards chocolate based desserts have got nice options to choose from.

Death by chocolate, warm melted chocolate served with vanilla ice-cream, will suit them the best. But I went for the tasty baklava, made of paper thin layers of pastry, assorted nuts and honey.
