Co-working spaces are vibrant, flashy, endorse openness, yet the rising demand for private office spaces that ensure confidentiality prompted Hajith Makki, Vishnu Raju and Saradhi to launch Unispace in 2013. They thought of the name as a shorter version of a ‘unique space’. Established across four centres in the city — at Madhapur, Hitec City, Kondapur and Gachibowli — flexibility is a key element to Unispace's interiors. Their Gachibowli centre at Telecom Nagar Extension, two years into its inception, wears the most industrial look of the four; the interiors prove that sticking to basics can retain the charm of an office space too.

You notice their preference for an open ceiling at the entrance, giving the space a certain earthiness. Unispace plays around mostly with neutral colours, the whites, the greys, the subtle browns, the rare use of lemon green being a vibrant exception to the same. The workspace does away with the cubicle system, there's abundant walking space through the workstations. The flexi-furniture aside, their meeting rooms and cabins lend it a touch of class.

Most private cabins come with an extension facility provided the teams expand over time, the founders say that the interiors are sometimes modified according to vaastu needs. Open to its clients around the clock, Unispace is inclusive of a dry pantry service. Their clients range from a single person to a firm that occupies over 20 workstations, a proof of their good work is the number of people who've stayed with them since their inception. Over a couple of years, they have kept pace with co-working space trends, subtle changes in terms of design have enriched their space appeal.

The customised workspace comes with a range of facilities including video conferencing, administrative support.Unispace's interiors vary from centre to centre despite a few common elements to keep their identity intact. Most of their clients come from an IT backdrop. The founders have time and again thought about accommodating an event space within their interiors, “Finally we decided to give more importance to shared HR, accounting and legal services. There are certain spaces that have emerged as event zones, our focus is more on providing additional benefits to our client base,” they add. Unispace is next headed to make a presence in Bengaluru.
