It’s time to bring out those fairy lights you stashed away in the closet many moons ago. Diwali’s here, and before you know it, Christmas and New Year will arrive.

This festive season, figure out how you will use all those lights and baubles you’ve been collecting. Let us help you get started:

1. A few branches by the bedside paired with fairy lights create a dreamy boudoir. Perfect for a teenager.

2. Run the string of lights around a floor-standing mirror to create that golden glow.

3. A ladder does really well when it’s run over by a couple of strings of lights; perfect for a corner.

4. Fairy lights and photographs seem to be made for each other. Use them as a wire to clip on your photographs.

5. Pack a string of lights into an old jam jar and watch it sparkle. The more, the merrier.
