Herbivore Farms, Mumbai

Their subscription box, delivered weekly to homes in Mumbai, consists of leafy greens like lettuce, Swiss chard and roquette. Priced at ₹1,500 per month. “We have been sold out every month since sales went live and we have a waiting list of 500 people,” says co-founder Sakina Rajkotwala.

This outfit has delivered over 30,000 organic farm boxes over a span of four years. It promises 22 varieties of vegetables each week, and has customisable options — add in specialities like seppankelangu (taro root) and palmyra sprouts — and even a fruit box option. Red Otter Farms, Delhi & Gurugam

Anubhav Das’ aquaponic farm, in the foothills of Nainital, provides a weekly subscription service to residents of South Delhi and Gurugram. “Each delivery consists of pre-mixed salad packets, microgreens and herbs,” says Das. Eight and 12-week subscriptions, with prices starting at ₹395, on redotterfarms.in.
