When Amitesh Sharma hands out a drink at his office or home, chances are that it will be a cold pressed fresh juice. You might be reluctant to drink it initially but his talk on the process, care and the benefits of the drink will convert you within no time and for all you know, you could be signing up for a one-day detox with his products.

Amitesh Sharma’s N coldpressed juices is a Hyderabad-based brand that delivers fresh juices at one’s doorstep without taking too much travel time on road.

A qualified Mechanical Engineer, 26-year-old Amitesh didn’t just wake up one morning and begin juicing whatever fruits and vegetables he found in his refrigerator. “Post a workout session when I couldn’t source a bottle of natural fruit juice, I realised that there was a huge dearth for quality juices that boasted of only natural ingredients and no preservatives. That’s when I embarked upon a new journey of entrepreneurship along with my friends. From a restaurateur, I chose to become an entrepreneur,” he shares.

Their modest office in Nallakunta also doubles up as a factory. Apart from a tiny juicing machine what catches one’s attention are the notes reading ‘Please Speak in English’ stuck on the walls. Ask them why? “So, that my support team grows along with us. There is nothing wrong in speaking in our mother-tongue, but Hyderabad being a multi-lingual city, it is best for my support team to be able to communicate professionally with our clients. Eventually they are the face of the product. We are always behind it.”

Having discovered the cold pressed technology of juicing that ensures maximum retention of nutrients, his R&D team comprising nutritionists and food technologists began creating new concoctions with fruits, vegetables and herbs. “Thus was born N coldpressed. The first product from the brand comes in three variants – enhancer, eclectic and elixir — each comprising a set of six juice bottles with various combinations that help people to cleanse their internal organs. The combinations are designed to give the human body optimal nutrition, loaded with good carbohydrates, that ensures a total cleanse with no loss of energy,” explains Amitesh.

Explaining the cold pressed juicing process, Amitesh explains, “Unlike a conventional centrifugal juicer (mixer, as it is commonly known) where the fruit or the vegetable is cut by its blades resulting in the generation of heat that kills almost 40% of the essential nutrients and minerals, the cold pressed technology on the other hand, uses a process that slowly squeezes the raw materials in a cool environment ensuring the maximum retention of all the nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants. These juices are infused only with fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs thereby making the process of cleansing simple, nutritious and customisable to an individual’s needs and goals.”

With his experience in the F&B industry, Amitesh wants to expand only when sees the need to shift to a bigger facility. He’d rather concentrate on the quality of the product and work it best in the city and then roll to neighbouring Bengaluru.

When not convening internal meetings and quality audits at the production unit, this fitness buff with a fetish for shoes prefers to sweat it out in the gym.
