E ach time Kishan Pedhapally changes the brand he works with, his name gets a prefix of the brand he signs up with. Kishan’s popularity with party-goers, club owners, restaurant and hotel F&B managers isn’t only because he throws lavish parties, but also because he markets his brand with passion. With 19 years of experience with various liquor brands, Kishan has set out on his own, with the idea of putting his knowledge to use and launch his own brand.

He has a strong passion for wines having first worked at Chateau Indage and then with Sula Vineyards.

Besides a working knowledge on wines he is also aware of the state excise policy. “I have always dreamt of launching my own wine which would offer the best quality to the wine connoisseurs of Hyderabad. But I wanted to know more and do some ground work. My label is called Asav which I have personally chosen,” says Kishan. he adds, “Draksh-asava literally means fermented grape juice in Sanskrit. Ayurveda used Asavas as medicines to address health imbalances arising from an excess of the Vata-Vayu Dosha. Keeping the health benefits of wine in mind I decided to name my brand thus.”

Kishan’s Asav is a fruit forward wine which will appeal to both first time consumers as well as connoisseurs. His wine comes from a boutique Vineyard in Nasik.

He claims to have minutely followed every detail of the wine-making process, right from the viticulture, harvest, vinification, maturation and bottling to ensure only the top quality wine is bottled under the brand. As for what wines are suitable for various times of dining, Kishan says, “The wines like Reserve Chenin Blanc can be enjoyed as an aperitif while the Reserve Shiraz goes well with the main course. This range of wines is available at all major hotels, top line restaurants, clubs, as well as premium wine shops across the state.”
