Satin Finish

With the rise of Instagram and Snapchat filters making everyone look flawless, the satin-finish look is the cleanest one to sport this year. It’s all about the smoothness of skin in a natural and glossy way. This look is different from the usual nudes. It’s brighter with burnt peaches, deeper browns and ash pinks in the colour palette, to complement and heighten your natural skin tone. The texture of this look is the perfect balance between shiny and matte, making it great for any occasion. Everybody loves it.

The 60s

The 60s look is an absolute classic and can never go out of fashion. We have changed it a bit here, tweaked it a bit there, added some glitter and what-have-you, but we have always loved it. It has the winged eyeliner, with heavy and downturned lashes, making your eyes look mysterious. Sport it with deep red lips and long curls, and you are good to go. It works for any occasion. Stars such as Madhuri Dixit and Asha Parekh first began wearing this look. I personally love it and call it the anti-gravity look, because the high cheekbones and upward-turned liner make you look younger.

Grunge Eyes

Grunge is back. It is dark and dramatic, with just the right dash of romance and power. Black is the darkest colour and it can be the scariest thing to use on your face, so this look is for the strong and confident woman, who isn’t afraid to take risks.

We’ve gone past the daring of the red lips. It’s time for the grunge eyes to shine.

It can be kept simple and teamed with a pair of jeans and a white T-shirt for a casual look, or it can be teamed with metallics for a more glam appearance. Grunge eyes can never look stale.

The Bronze

The bronze look is the ideal monochromatic look with sun-kissed colours in the palette. It became famous in the 80s when people were sunbathing for a tan, but they realised it was ruining their skin. The textures for this look can change — it can be satin or matte, depending on your preference and purpose. This look is completed by adding glimmer to your body with shiny moisturisers. It is especially great in the night, and for a day on the beach. It also works well for the traditional Indian look with a dash of kajal.

Indian Princess Bride

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. You have invested in your clothes and jewellery, and you need the makeup to match. This look is just that. It uses jewel colours to make your face look like it is glowing. Most often, wedding clothes have embroidery, crystals and more bling, and your face will also have to reflect your clothes. This look will always remain in vogue. Mineral colours are lovely and don’t react badly with the skin. Satin, matte or ultra-shine effects can be created on your face to complement your outfit and jewellery.
