Plot

Have you ever met a dare-devil professor who can ever resist a challenge, so much so that word impossible does not exist in his directory. Archaeology professor Indiana Jones (played by Harrison Ford) is recruited to get the Ark of Covenant before his enemies, the Nazis get their hands on it. Why? Because the Nazis believe the possession of this article would make them invincible. So, what is this Ark of Covenant? Well...according to the Hebrew Bible, it is a chest containing the Tablets of Stone on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed. Man meets God is what makes it so powerful or the director would like us to believe.

Enough about the plot! Not that we can’t tell more, but the film is worth the adventure that the director takes you on. There are elements of predictable (at times) inevitability but the central character, Indiana Jones's is so colourful that he holds you captive with his performance. Hollywood is great at making such films but (of course) two of the brightest young minds (Spielberg and George Lucas) teaming up to create this modern day history-meets-science-meets-adventure film adds to its appeal so much so that it creates a genre of its own.

Thrills at every turn, glorious locations and the story never loses its pace! Not to mention the catchy signature tune that doesn't leave you even when you leave the film behind for new ones. Indiana Jones captivates you even before the opening credits start rolling. So without further ado, lets get ready for some adrenaline pumping.
