Health awareness at AVP 

Tirupur: A medical camp was conducted in A.V.P Trust Public School. Vasan Eye Care and Revathi Medical Centre organised the camp, and checkups were carried out for more than 800 students and teachers.

Carmel students have fun with science

 Tiruchi: Science Day was held at Carmel’s group of schools on July 5. Dr. Arun of CSI Mission hospital inaugurated the Science Day. Principal Pakia Jothi Devadass presided over the function. Students explained the models to the parents and other students. Teachers from other school also visited the school. This helped the students to understand concepts in science in depth.

Career guidance offered to Don Bosco students

Puducherry: A career guidance programme was organised in association with NIIT at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tagore Nagar, for the students of classes X and XII.

The students were made aware of the various avenues available to them after completing their school education.

Rev. Fr. Mathias, the Principal, introduced the NIIT team.

The Managing Director Raj’s speech was well received by the students. The School Toppers of SSLC & HSC Exams 2014 were honoured by the Managing Director at the end of the programme.

Kho-kho cup for Jay Matric

Salem: Jay Matric. Hr. Sec. School has won the cup in an inter-school kho-kho competition held for the matriculation schools. The boys under 17 team won the match and the championship. The School Correspondent Subbiah and the Principal S. Jayamurugan congratulated the winners.

Lisieux portfolio members take charge

Coimbatore: The Investiture Ceremony for the year 2014 - 2015 was held at Lisieux Mat Hr Sec School. Principal Rev Fr Philips Pontheckan introduced the portfolio members and the ministers of various clubs.

The school’s portfolio members took oath and inaugurated four major groups – Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The group captains gave speeches on future plans.
