The culinary team of The Galle Face Hotel comes to Bengaluru for a three-day culinary showcase. The event, named Heritage Crossroads, will be hosted at The Leela Palace Bengaluru. The Galle Face Hotel was established in 1864 and is a landmark of Colombo. The Regency Wing of the hotel houses the restaurant named 1864 Limited Edition.

The culinary team is headed by Chef Rukmal (Rukie) Samarasekera. He shines the spotlight on locally sourced ingredients and the country’s heritage. He boasts a career spanning two decades in hotels across the world. The menu for the food festival features traditional Sri Lankan cuisine with a modern twist. Expect dishes such as baked Negombo crab thermidor and calamansi hollandaise, crusted modha fish with coconut butter poached king prawn, and Ceylon spiced banana flambé with dark rum.
