Al Pacino is back, as an ageing rocker in his upcoming film Danny Collins . Directed by Dan Fogelman, the story revolves around a 1970s ageing rockstar who decides to change the course of his life after receiving a long-undelivered letter from the late John Lennon. Along with the ‘Godfather’,  Danny Collins  stars Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale and Christopher Plummer. It is said that Christopher Plummer, who plays Al Pacino’s manager, shared a great rapport with Al Pacino.

In fact, the Godfather star has revealed in a recent interview that he was influenced by Christopher Plummer. “Chris was like an idol of mine. I actually wrote him a fan letter when I saw him on stage once. So, I had a real attraction to him and we got along very well during the movie; we became friends and stuff.” The movie will be released by PVR Pictures on May 15.
