Dance master Dinesh, who has choreographed for more than a hundred films, has turned hero and is acting in the lead role in Oru Kuppai Kathai, directed by Kali Rangasamy.

The director, who earlier worked with Ezhil and Aslam, says, “You can call it a ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in Tamil. It tells the story of a young boy and a girl who marry and live in the slums. We’ve tried to make it natural and realistic; so, we’ve shot it entirely in slums and neighbouring places in the city.”

Working on the film are cameraman Mahesh Muthusamy and music composer Joshua Sridhar. “Director-actors like Mysskin, Samuthirakani and Ameer have already appreciated the project,” says the director proudly.
