Srikanth Deva scores a ton

Srikanth Deva.

Music director Srikanth Deva is about to complete 100 films. His career started with Doubles, directed by Pandiarajan and starring Prabhu Deva. After that, he didn’t compose for a couple of years before coming back strongly with M Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi. Now, he’s busy with his hundredth film, titled Priyamudan Priya, directed by Sujith. “I have decided to do only quality films, which give me scope for my music.

I did the background score for Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai, which was appreciated by many. My next release is Boologam, starring Jayam Ravi; it will have only three songs that will be different from each other. One is an amman song based on ‘masana kollai’, the other a ‘marana Gana’ song and the third is a number on ‘nattu marunthu’.” Srikanth Deva started off as a keyboard player and has worked with various music composers on more than 250 films.
