Music director Srikanth Deva is about to complete 100 films. His career started with Doubles , directed by Pandiarajan and starring Prabhu Deva. After that, he didn’t compose for a couple of years before coming back strongly with M Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi . Now, he’s busy with his hundredth film, titled Priyamudan Priya , directed by Sujith. “I have decided to do only quality films, which give me scope for my music.
I did the background score for Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai , which was appreciated by many. My next release is Boologam, starring Jayam Ravi; it will have only three songs that will be different from each other. One is an amman song based on ‘masana kollai’, the other a ‘marana Gana’ song and the third is a number on ‘nattu marunthu’.” Srikanth Deva started off as a keyboard player and has worked with various music composers on more than 250 films.
