The new Klaus parking system in Chennai Silks is all about customer convenience

Cows, stray dogs, vendors, cars and people throng Theagaraya Nagar, popularly called T. Nagar, everyday. You can find almost anything here — clothes, jewellery, food, stationery, utensils and knick-knacks. What you don’t get here easily though, is space.

Chennai Silks, a retail store here, is out to change all that with its newest addition to the T. Nagar landscape — their Klaus car parking system. The German-made multi-level puzzle parking system was set up as a response to customer demand.

Says P. A. Ravindhran, general manager of the showroom, “We collate customer feedback and one of the issues raised was a need for better parking facilities. So we decided to install this system.”

According to Prakash of Klaus Multiparking, this will greatly reduce the space crunch in the area.

“This system can accommodate 104 vehicles and enable their parking and exit in a record time of two minutes,” he says.

According to Ravindhran, the system, which is entirely automated and manually supervised, is at the end of the day about customer convenience.

“Good service is about bringing customers in and sending them away happy. The Klaus Parking system will help with that,” he says.
