Brain drain

MY SPACE Why we are our country’s greatest resource…

July 11, 2012 05:52 pm | Updated 05:58 pm IST

It happens every year around the country: canvassing young intelligent brains, targeting not the underprivileged, but students who top the top schools for they need students who are not only brainy but also have wealthy parents.

A few months ago we had a campaign in our school by an organisation from Canada to brainwash students into doing their higher education there with lots of offers and scholarships. They want the students to settle there as citizens and help in the development of their country.

At present Canada has a mostly aging population. So, clearly, they need young and smart Indians to migrate to their country in the name of education and eventually bring up their country's economy.

In a century where the world is facing a serious crisis of resources, a day will come when a country’s wealth will depend upon its human resource.

At that time, for our country to top the list, our presence in India is essential. So let us wake up and stop other countries from draining India’s greatest resource: us! It is time that we stop this brain drain.
