After two back-to-back hits, Shraddha Kapoor is hoping to complete a hattrick with ABCD-2, released last week. The actress revealed that her father Shakti Kapoor has a superstition that all her movies which he watches in Delhi are a hit. “This time also he is coming to Delhi to watch ABCD 2 .”

Excerpts from an interview:

We have never seen you dancing in films. How difficult it was for you to do a dance film?

I am extremely excited as it is first time I am doing such dancing. While growing up I was very shy and used to dance in front of the mirror or with family and friends only. I was never confident about dancing on stage during school days.

So initially it was very difficult as I was dancing with many trained dancers and I was expected to match their level. In the process I and others suffered many injuries. I was attempting a split and got a partial muscle tear. Injuries were just a part of our shoot but you need to take risks in life. Varun also had an injury while shooting for the song “Bezubaan”.

The tagline says anybody who can feel the music can dance. But do you think the dance forms used in the movie are easy enough that anybody can dance?

If I can, anybody can. You have never seen me dancing before but I rehearsed a lot for 4 to 6 months. And Remo hasn’t cheated with camera or editing. You could see that in the songs. But you do need passion to learn. If you have a passion for dancing and you work on it, then yes anybody can dance.

Do you thinkABCD 2has reached to the level ofSet Up 3-Dor is itStep Up 3-Dof India?

It is a completely an original concept. There is only one ABCD and that is from India. If the film does well it can prove to be a very important catalyst to promote dancing talent in the country.

How do you react to the response to the promos of a movie?

My thing is that when you travel and at airport if people stop you and say that they are excited about watching my movie then that is a very good sign. There is a lot of excitement that we have seen at airports while travelling for promotion. Also at social media we are receiving positive response, the views of songs are going in millions. We are getting videos that children are dancing to our songs.

Acting, singing and now dancing, what else you have in store for us?

I want to do everything, try everything whether good or bad. You have only one life, whatever you want to do, just do it in this life.
