Well, my fitness mantra for 2012 is no different from the one I have had all my life. It's a bit of everything if we are talking about physical fitness. I like playing sports like basketball and swimming. But my routine includes a run/jog for about 45 minutes followed by stretching and some leg exercises. Next day I hit the gym for very basic light weight circuit training — I never do heavy weight training and running on treadmills is pure boredom for me. I also alternate cardio with anaerobic exercises and yoga and if the weather permits then swimming is ideal for me. As far as the diet is concerned I do eat everything but in moderation and actually enjoy small but frequent meals. I don't take protein shakes, like to keep it natural. Healthy snacking like fruits and nuts every two hours really gets my metabolism going. I like variations in my workout so I don't really stick to one kind of a workout.

Actually in the coming year I have resolved to work out at least four times a week as I have been slack of late. To me staying fit includes a 30 minute work out everyday(whatever suits your body type), and eating right while you eat everything.

Youngsters today go on crazy diets which eventually lead to many other problems. So eat right, exercise and don't torture your body too much.

No one should ever aim for a figure like their friend's or their favourite actor's. You should learn to appreciate your body, understand it and then engage in any sport. I do it because it de-stresses me and I feel good at the end of the day. One resolution is I won't diet instead, I choose to burn it out.

I have been travelling for two months for my movie “Life mein ek baar”. I've let myself loose on all the junk in the world. I've been back for a while now but the festive and wedding season seems to be making its rounds. I love working out so I don't ever stop that. But food....well that's surely been a bit out of control. So my resolution is to Eat Right..... for a while at least.

Gul Panag

This year my resolution is my goal and that is to take part in my first triathlon. What I feel is that everyone should work out for at least 40 minutes a day to keep fit.

This year has been packed. I had three back-to-back releases, so I didn't get anytime to work out. Next year I want to take it easy and focus on toning up . I am a big fan of Yoga, so hopefully I'll get time to do some yoga too.

The youngsters need to know that fitness should be a priority. Don't slacken, you just need to devote 30 minutes of your day.

Sarah Jane Dias

To make myself a priority- that's my resolution. With everything going on, one often forgets one self. So this year, I want to take out some time and join a fun class like Zumba and break the monotony that comes when you gym. My tip to youngsters is that it's not about looking fit, its about feeling fit. So drop the fad diets and quick fix workouts and go in for something fun...something that won't bog you down and something that you can look forward to.

Sonal Chauhan

To focus on being healthy and happy. Next year, I don't want to focus on pounding the treadmill, but be more experimental with my diet and workout regime.

My tip is that please don't starve yourself to be skinny. Skinny doesn't mean healthy, in fact, it is extremely unhealthy. Be smart and eat smart.

Dia Mirza

The year gone by didn't see me in the gym as often as I'd like. So my resolution for the New Year is to work towards attaining the best at the gym! I want to be my fittest ever.

Bipasha Basu, Actor

My new year resolution for 2012 is to shoot Part II of my Fitness DVD. And my tip for youngsters is be active, know the difference between thin and fit and try to stay away from vices.
