These days when our everyday activities are governed by technology, we realise how powerful machines truly are when they go wrong. That is when we begin scrambling around, trying to get them fixed, making not one but several calls to ensure the problem is solved. Ever wondered if one call could set things right?

Pro effective

Services provided by companies are more often than not inadequate to ensure customer satisfaction and their continued support. The use of technology is on the rise and so are problems associated with them. ‘One Call' is a service that acts as your ‘appliance secretary'. In other words, One Call handles every enquiry or problem related to your appliances. Its service areas include providing appliance-related information, help with purchasing new appliances and selling old ones, aiding in repair and maintenance, picking up and dropping off appliances at the service centres, keeping track of warranty and renewals.

A start-up by Prerna Bhutani, an IIM graduate specialising in marketing and K.C. Anand, chairman of a group of companies called Capital A, One Call established Headquarters at Chennai, in June last year. The idea was inspired by an experience of Anand with unreliable service engineers. He brought a home security system and called the manufacturer for a technical issue within a week. He waited three months for engineers to come and service his system and when they did, they took a component back for repair and took very long to return it. The whole exercise was quite harrowing.

Currently operating at Chennai and Bangalore, providing their services in these two cities, the company caters to over 120 types of products across over 250 brands and strives to eliminate problems, making sure the customer is happy. They not only network with the brand-authorised service centres, but also with reliable private technicians who are experts on specific gadgets, finding the right person to service your appliance, even the imported ones, at your convenience. Service and repair charges need to be paid directly to the service engineers. One Call will help you by ensuring that the engineer who visits your house for repair doesn't overcharge you.

Convenience

One obtains benefits like getting rid of the hassle of finding and dealing with service centres and engineers, saving time and fuel when it comes to collecting and leaving the appliance, hunting for appliance documents when the need arises or remembering dates that appliances are due for servicing. Also you will have updated information at all times about the status of your appliance servicing.

Doesn't it seem convenient having someone else handle these mundane issues?

All one has to do is pick up the phone and call their toll free number 1800-200-2000.

One may also subscribe to use their services without limit by visiting their website www.onecallindia.com or paying for services obtained on the basis of a pay-per-use plan.
