Tree of Life Festival

The Prakriti Foundation and the Aseema Trust announce the 7 edition of the annual Tree of Life Festival. This year, the festival will focus on ‘ Recycling '.

January 23-29: A weeklong workshop in schools will end with a performance on January 30.

Waste Management Session: Schools and colleges will be encouraged to make their premises ‘ Zero-Waste'. This session will include a 20 minute movie on Recycling and a discussion on waste management on campus. The premises will be monitored through the year and the school and college that achieves ‘Zero-Waste' at the end of the year will win a prize from Prakriti Foundation.

Transit: A spoken word performance about the writings of Swami Vivekananda will be performed by Parnab Mukherjee.

Tree Walk: Inside Madras Christian College campus at 8.00 a.m. on January 28 conducted by Dr. Narasimhan. The second in association with Nizhal will be held at the Guindy Children's Park on January 28 at 4.00 p.m.

Free the Trees: Prakriti Foundation in association with Nizhal will conduct a FTC (Free the Trees Campaign) on January 29 at 7.00 a.m. at Luz Church Road, Mylapore.
