Sumptuous combos

Indulge your sweet tooth with Paprika's combo meal offer.

The mellow ambience and the zesty smell of the food immediately drew us towards Paprika. Paprika is an upscale 24-hour cafe located at the lobby of the Courtyard Marriott at Teynampet.

We decided to try the “Combo Meal” that Paprika offered. The “Combo meal” Is available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. everyday and is targeted mainly at working professionals and children who drop by after school.

Priced aptly at Rs. 426 (net) it includes a beverage, a salad, main course and dessert of the day. In the beverages section, Paprika offers unlimited milkshakes, cold coffee or aerated drinks. I decided to try the Mango milkshake and my friend tried the cold coffee.

The mango milkshake, although cold and soothing in summer, tasted artificial and milky. The cold coffee however, tasted perfectly like how a cold coffee should, the flavour hitting all the right spots in your mouth leaving behind a yummy after-taste.

For salad, we had Caesar. The lettuce was crisp and fresh and the chicken perfectly cooked with the right amount of seasoning. The crisp croutons acted as a perfect accompaniment to the succulent chicken.

The main course had a choice of a pizza or a burger (with fries), or a Kati roll or a sandwich (with fries), available in both veg and non-veg options. We decided to taste the Pizza Margarita which was mind blowing. The base was freshly made and the fresh oregano added to the taste.

The chicken burger was the regular fried chicken and lettuce. The smooth creamy mayo against the crispy chicken made our taste buds go nuts. The fries were fat and crisp with a soft centre and are definitely worth mentioning.

After downing another glass of cold coffee it was now time for dessert, Paprika whips up one dessert a day for the combo meals and it includes brownies, cheesecakes, pastries, muffins and so on, mainly because they want the dessert to be “Spoil-free” enabling take-aways, which made sense considering the large portion size of the desserts. That day, the dessert of the day was “Chocó-Almond brownie”. It was chewy and had the perfect fudgy chocolate taste with the right amounts of almonds intertwined. It would have tasted better a little warm, however.

Overall the Paprika “Combo-meal” experience was delectable and left our tummies happy!
