Fusion 9 is the brain-child of five foodies who shared a zeal for good food and varied cuisines. F9 is a food paradise offering a fabulous assortment of international cuisine that, through its exquisite food, offers a globe-trotting experience.

Ambience

Step into the restaurant and you will find yourself amid enthusiastic waiters offering you different seating arrangements. The decor is a blend of plexiglass chairs arranged around matte finish tables, sophisticated high back chairs arranged in a classic high dinning format, and low sink in sofas tucked into secluded cosy corners.

The island-bar across the centre (cocktails and mocktails are a must-try) offers bar-seating along one side and a dining feel along the other.

Day time ambience glows with the golden gleam of sunlight while dim lights and matte finish elicits appreciation during the evenings. The unobtrusive music adds to the atmosphere as well.

Foodies' delight

Speaking of the food, you will have to make more than one visit to do justice to the variety of delicacies on the menu. My friends and I wanted to wait for our starters before we were convinced that this would become our regular haunt. Taken by the chef's brilliant presentation we grabbed our forks and knives and pounced on the starters like hungry beast.

Bursting with flavours and cheese, the Tandoori Broccoli has tempting tender green florets charcoal-grilled to perfection. The Iranian Joojeh Kabab, juicy boneless chicken chunks laced with saffron and pepper served with pounded garlic cream, was my personal favourite on the starters list.

Sea food lovers should go for the Wasabi Prawns served with crackers and wasabi mayo. Cappuccino Mixed Mushroom with fresh thyme tops the soup chart.

After that fantastic start, we sat there debating whether we should go for a veg or non-veg pizza. Anand (the coolest waiter I have come across) put an end to the discussion by offering us a 12 inch pizza with a combination of 4 slices of veg and 4 slices of non-veg toppings.

Having hogged many starters we moved on to the main course. The Swiss Roasted Potato, topped with veg-rogout, fresh asparagus and smoked cheese, is a vegetarian's delight, while the Thai Red Chicken Curry, Pan Chicken Steak and Pomfret Richardo rule the non-veg lovers' heart.

After loading our stomach outrageously, we had still saved some space for dessert. Tiramisu and cheese cake are a must-try. So come down to F9 to enjoy the art of global cuisine.
