Simply fun

Fun to hang out...Photo: K.R. Deepak

Being a teen must be one of the most difficult things anyone could ever imagine. A teenager experiences almost every feeling in his/her time, ranging from love, anger, greed, guilt, pride and so on.

Of course, many teens are able to curb these feelings, but what happens to the ones who don't? Maybe, they will all end up in a pit of endless remorse and morbidity. But I can't think of anything more fun than being a simple, pimple-faced teenager. The trick is how to make it that way and the best way is to teach each other.

Now, this is what every teen wants to be and I don't blame them. Every girl secretly wishes to be admired by every boy in her class, and every boy wishes he would be “the funny and smart alec” whom everybody likes. If not you, then maybe your friends.

Who's weird?

I remember that when I was in junior high, there used to be a girl whom I thought was weird merely because she wore clothes that were not trendy enough. I used to ignore her and treat her as if she were not a human being. My friends also started to think I was right and eventually alienated the girl.

She would come to school just to study. She would return home with the quietness she had arrived with. However, now, I realise that she wasn't the one who was weird but me. Trying to be popular makes you almost a monster. I think the important thing about being a teenager is to be expressive. Let the world know what you feel, be it sadness or passion....
