I love good guitaring and Danny Bryant never disappoints. Danny Bryant's characteristic voice borders on gruffness and it still manages to evoke an excellent sense of rhythm and most importantly of music. His seventh release, ‘Just as I am' packs in some really good music. Beginning with Shut out the lights , a powerful jam with a short but hot guitar solo, it puts you in the mood for more, like the first taste of snow. Blues for buddy , a passionate number is sure to drive home the message in a blues outfit. For the last time is a soothing rock ballad that is right from its first tune, mellifluous and epitomises quality song writing.

Danny Bryant also delivers an excellent cover of John Hyatt's Master of disaster . The title track, Just as I am is evocative and almost reaches the zenith. The hard way and the eight minute track, Alone in the dark end this beautiful affair with a gritty voice and a snazzy guitar. Alone in the dark has everything to make you want to press replay, a wonderful guitar manifestation in between and lyrics that tug at your heart. ‘Just as I am' is an excellent album, right from the first song till the last. Danny Bryant and his wonderful guitaring, work like magic.
