Pop diva Mariah Carey has revealed she used singing to get through her heartbreaking divorce from ‘America’s Got Talent’ host Nick Cannon.
Carey, 45, said it was getting back on to the stage after a five-year break that saved her from herself. Carey’s divorce from the much-younger Cannon was finalised in April after six years of marriage. “Music was and always will be my saving grace. Because of that, there was never a moment when I didn’t believe that all things are possible,” she said. “My mother always encouraged me to believe in myself, she’d say, ‘Don’t say if I make it, say when I make it,’” she said. Mariah Carey is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and occasional actress. The singer, who debuted with the self-titled album Mariah Carey in 1990, has twins with Cannon, Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon.
